Your privacy isn't an afterthought; it is the foundation of how Still is built. We designed this application to function entirely as an offline, on-device ambient art engine. We do not track you, we do not serve advertisements, and we do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data.

2. Data Collection and Usage

We do not collect personal or sensitive user data.

All application configurations—including your selected artwork, widget preferences, battery thresholds, and active hours—are saved locally on your device using Android's encrypted Device Protected Storage. This data never leaves your device and is never uploaded to any external server.

3. Device Permissions Explained

To function securely over your lock screen and manage hardware efficiently, the app requires specific Android system permissions. None of these permissions are used to collect or monitor your personal information:

• Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Required exclusively to render the ambient engine securely over the lock screen.
• Foreground Service & Wake Lock: Allows the engine to reliably keep the screen active and monitor your device's power state in the background to prevent battery drain.
• Notifications: Used strictly to display a persistent status icon, ensuring you always know when the engine is running or suspended.
• Media Picker / Storage: Used locally to allow you to select your own custom artwork. We do not have network access to upload your images anywhere.

4. Third-Party Services & Payments

Because we do not collect telemetry, serve advertisements, or include in-app purchases, we do not integrate any third-party tracking or billing SDKs within the application. Your upfront purchase to download this app is processed entirely by the Google Play Store. We never receive, collect, or store your payment details, financial records, or identity.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your data is stored locally, you maintain total control over it. Your preferences and configurations are retained only for as long as the app is installed. If you wish to delete all associated data, simply uninstall the application or clear the app's data in your Android Settings.

6. Children's Privacy

This application is designed for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has somehow provided us with information without their consent, they should contact us immediately.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
